Ingredients
  

Banana Bread Cookie Dough

  • 2 ripe bananas mashed
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter melted
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Mash the ripe bananas in a large mixing bowl until smooth.
  • Add melted butter, brown sugar, egg, and vanilla extract. Whisk until well combined.
  • In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  • Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture. Do not overmix.
  • Optionally, stir in chocolate chips or nuts.
  • Refrigerate the dough for 30 minutes to enhance flavor and prevent spreading.
  • Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges turn golden brown.
  • Let cookies cool on the pan for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.

Notes

For extra texture, add chopped walnuts or pecans. Store cookies in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
