Ingredients
  

Beef Heart Preparation

  • 1 Beef heart Whole (about 2 lbs), cleaned and trimmed

Marinade

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic Minced
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • salt and pepper To taste
  • fresh parsley For garnish

Instructions
 

  • Clean and trim the beef heart by removing any fat, silver skin, and valves. Slice into steaks or strips.
  • In a bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, paprika, dried thyme, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Add the beef heart pieces and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  • Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add a drizzle of olive oil and sear the beef heart slices for 3-4 minutes per side until they develop a nice crust.
  • Let the cooked beef heart rest for a few minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve.

Notes

Beef heart pairs well with roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or salads. Slice it thinly and use it in tacos or sandwiches for a creative twist.
