Ingredients
  

Brown Butter Sage Sauce

  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter cut into pieces
  • 6-8 leaves fresh sage whole or chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 tsp salt adjust to taste
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper freshly ground
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese grated

Instructions
 

  • Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the butter.
  • Let the butter melt and continue cooking until it starts to brown and smell nutty, about 3-5 minutes.
  • Add the minced garlic and sage leaves. Stir and cook for another 1-2 minutes until the sage is crisp.
  • Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  • Drizzle the sauce over cooked butternut squash ravioli and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.

Notes

This sauce works best with fresh pasta. You can add a squeeze of lemon juice for extra brightness.
