Ingredients
  

Biscuit Dough

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour Provides structure for the biscuits
  • 1 tbsp baking powder Leavening agent for fluffy texture
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar Balances the savory flavors
  • 1 tsp salt Enhances the flavor
  • 1 1/2 cups buttermilk Adds tanginess and moisture
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter Melted, for baking the biscuits

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C) and grease an 8x8-inch baking pan.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
  • Pour in the buttermilk and mix until just combined. The dough will be wet and sticky.
  • Melt the butter and pour it into the greased baking pan.
  • Scoop the dough into the butter-filled pan, spreading it evenly. Use a knife to score the dough into 9 squares.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown on top.
  • Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm!

Notes

For a sweet version, sprinkle cinnamon sugar on top before baking. For a savory twist, add shredded cheese and garlic powder to the dough.
