Instructions
Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
Add onions, garlic, and bell pepper. Sauté until softened.
Stir in tomato sauce, cumin, and oregano. Cook for 2 minutes.
Add beans and water or broth. Simmer for 20-30 minutes until flavors meld together.
Garnish with cilantro and serve over rice.
Notes
For a creamier texture, mash some of the beans into the sauce while cooking. You can also add a pinch of chili flakes for extra heat!
