  • 1 pound Ground Beef (80/20)
  • 1 medium head Cabbage chopped
  • 1 large Onion diced
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 2 tablespoons Tomato Paste
  • 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce (or Tamari)
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • Red Pepper Flakes Optional, to taste

Instructions
 

  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil.
  • Add diced onion and cook until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  • Stir in minced garlic and sauté for another minute until fragrant.
  • Push the onion and garlic to one side, then add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks (about 7-8 minutes).
  • Add the chopped cabbage and stir to combine with the beef mixture.
  • Cover the skillet and let the cabbage steam for 5 minutes.
  • Stir in the tomato paste, soy sauce, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  • If using, sprinkle red pepper flakes for added heat.
  • Cook for an additional 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is tender but still slightly crisp.
  • Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

This dish is naturally low-carb and keto-friendly. For extra richness, add shredded cheese or a drizzle of heavy cream before serving.
