Instructions
Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally.
In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
Dip each roll half into the custard mixture, allowing it to soak for 10-15 seconds.
Heat butter in a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
Place soaked rolls in the skillet, cut side down, and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
Serve warm with maple syrup, powdered sugar, or other favorite toppings.
Notes
For an extra indulgent version, try stuffing the rolls with a cream cheese mixture before soaking them in the custard.
