Instructions
Cube the angel food cake into bite-sized pieces.
In a mixing bowl, whisk together vanilla pudding mix and cold milk until thickened.
Fold in sour cream and whipped topping to create a creamy mixture.
In a 9x13-inch dish, spread half of the cubed cake evenly as the first layer.
Spread half of the cherry pie filling over the cake layer.
Pour half of the creamy mixture over the cherries and cake.
Repeat the layers with the remaining cake, cherries, and creamy mixture.
Sprinkle with sliced almonds if desired.
Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.
Notes
For variations, try swapping cherry pie filling with blueberry or strawberry filling. Add a drizzle of chocolate syrup for a richer taste.
