Ingredients
  

Meat Mixture

  • 500 g ground beef
  • 250 g ground pork
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley chopped

Filling & Topping

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup marinara sauce

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, eggs, minced garlic, Parmesan cheese, oregano, salt, black pepper, and parsley.
  • Mix the ingredients by hand until well incorporated.
  • Flatten the meat mixture on a piece of parchment paper into a rectangular shape.
  • Sprinkle shredded mozzarella evenly over the flattened meat.
  • Carefully roll the meat mixture into a loaf shape, ensuring the cheese stays inside.
  • Transfer the meatloaf to a baking dish, seam-side down.
  • Spread marinara sauce evenly over the top of the meatloaf.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  • Let the meatloaf rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, try adding thinly sliced prosciutto or sautéed spinach inside the filling before rolling.
