Knafeh Pistachio Chocolate Bar

Ingredients
  

Knafeh Base

  • 2 cups shredded phyllo dough
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted

Filling and Toppings

  • 1 cup cream cheese or ricotta
  • 2 cups milk chocolate melted
  • 1 cup pistachios chopped
  • 1/4 cup sugar syrup optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Shred the phyllo dough into small pieces.
  • Coat the shredded phyllo dough with melted butter and spread evenly on a baking tray.
  • Bake for 10-15 minutes until golden brown, then let it cool.
  • Spread cream cheese or ricotta evenly over the cooled knafeh base.
  • Melt the milk chocolate and pour it over the cheese layer. Smooth it out evenly.
  • Sprinkle chopped pistachios on top while the chocolate is still warm.
  • Refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set.
  • Once firm, cut into bars and serve.

Notes

For extra crunch, lightly toast the pistachios before sprinkling them on top. You can also drizzle sugar syrup for added sweetness.
