A creamy, indulgent chicken pasta dish that’s so delicious it might just lead to a marriage proposal! This recipe combines tender chicken, sun-dried tomatoes, and a rich parmesan sauce for an unforgettable meal.
Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sear the chicken breasts until golden brown on both sides, about 4-5 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
Melt butter in the same skillet. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
Add sun-dried tomatoes and cook for another minute, releasing their aroma.
Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine. Scrape up any browned bits from the pan.
Gradually whisk in grated parmesan cheese until the sauce thickens and becomes creamy.
Return the chicken to the skillet and let it simmer in the sauce for 5 minutes.
In the meantime, cook the pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and add it to the skillet with the sauce.
Toss everything together and let it simmer for another 2 minutes.
Garnish with fresh basil and serve immediately.
Notes
For a spicier version, increase the red pepper flakes. To lighten up the dish, swap heavy cream for half-and-half or Greek yogurt (off the heat).
