Ingredients
  

Marinade Base

  • 2 limes juiced
  • 1 orange juiced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp honey or agave syrup
  • fresh cilantro chopped

Instructions
 

  • Whisk together lime juice, orange juice, minced garlic, chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, oregano, olive oil, and honey in a bowl.
  • Add chopped fresh cilantro and stir to combine.
  • Place chicken in a resealable bag or shallow dish, then pour marinade over it, ensuring all pieces are coated.
  • Seal and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, up to 6 hours, for best flavor.
  • Cook marinated chicken using your preferred method: grill, bake, or pan-fry until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

Notes

For a smoky, authentic kick, add chipotle peppers in adobo sauce or ancho chili powder.
